Amy Tan, the great novelist, has been writing a lot of things besides novels lately -- screenplays, and also the libretto for an opera based on one of her books. (See http://sfopera.com/o/265.asp.) This gal is creative and prolific -- and it is inspiring to know that she didn't begin that way. Here is what she says on the matter -- a simple statement of fact that should boost up any creative person who doesn't happen to be, still, 20:"There's always this idea that there is something better about early brilliance. But I'm a late bloomer; I first got published at 37." -- Amy Tan

Yes! Now is the moment to live our lives, so if we didn't do it then... it is time to do it now.
